Bessie May Peterson passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, August 12, 2016 at the age of 84.

She was born on September 27, 1931 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Walter and Harriet Lambert Williams.

She married Raymond Albert Peterson, on March 3, 1953 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. They later moved to Minnesota then to Utah.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Bessie retired from Hill Air Force Base and Convergys.

She enjoyed serving as local and state auxiliary president for the V.F.W. and as a local auxiliary president for the Roy F.O.E.  She was a past member of the American Legion and a current member of the Ogden F.O.E. #2472.

Her hobbies included: bowling, pool tournaments, and especially bingo.

She is survived by her children: Arthur (Dianna) Peterson, San Diego, CA; Albert (Peggy) Peterson, Pullman, WA; William “Bill “Peterson, Clinton, UT; Joe (Joyce) Peterson, Roy, UT;  Lillian (Brandon) Piep, Roy, UT; 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond, two brothers, and five grandchildren: Kenny, Hilary, Cody, Little Mike, and Madan.

The family wishes to express a special thanks to CNS Hospice, Dr. DeGrauw, and her granddaughter, Bessie, who assisted in caring for her grandmother. They also express thanks to all who assisted in her care.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 22, 2016 at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 W. 5600 S.  A viewing will be held on Sunday, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.  Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens at the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd, South Ogden.
