Beth B. Jonsson
1928-2014
Beth Brown Jonsson passed away peacefully on March 24, 2014 from pneumonia. She was born September 19, 1928 in Tremonton, Utah to Henry Brown and Inez (Stallings) Brown. She grew up in Garland, Utah and graduated from Bear River High School and later from BYU. She taught elementary school for many years in Utah and in Hayward, CA.
She married Bengt R. Jonsson in the Salt Lake Temple on August 8, 1957. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all her life and served in many different positions, including ordinance worker in the Ogden and Bountiful temples and also assistant matron in the Stockholm, Sweden Temple.
She served three missions to Sweden: one as a young woman, and two with her husband. She loved music, travel, good food, and Swedish traditions.
She is survived by her husband and their children, Marianne (Michael) Wicknick and David (Jo Ellen) Jonsson. Also survived by four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, one sister, Carole (Mel) Ward, and one brother, Kenneth (Deanna) Brown. She was preceded in death by one brother, Dee Brown.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 31, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Kaysville Crestwood Stake Center, 855 E. Mutton Hollow Road. Friends may visit family Sunday from 6:00-8:00 pm at Lindquist’s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 N. Main, and Monday from 9:45-10:45 am at the church. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
