Beth Gee Michalak
April 5, 1929 ~ January 14, 2019
Beth Gee Michalak, 89, passed away on Monday, January 14, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was born in Fountain Green, Utah, on April 5, 1929 to Samuel Herbert and Lila Zoella Despain Gee.
She met a handsome Air Force man, Arthur Rudolph Michalak, at a USO Show Social in Salt Lake City. They were married in Nephi, Utah on December 15, 1945. They were blessed with seven children.
Beth was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in several callings including, Primary Teacher, Relief Society President, Senior Missionary. She loved the Lord and the Church. She was proud of her pioneer heritage and enjoyed being a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.
She LOVED crocheting and sharing her talent with others. She won first place in the Utah State Fair for a crotched afghan which was proudly displayed on her bed at home. She will be remembered for being kind, caring, and independent. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren; they along with her children were her pride and joy. She also really enjoyed A&W Rootbeer.
Beth is survived by her sons, Ron (Barbara) Michalak of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and Brad Michalak, Ogden; daughters, Zoe (Curt) Taylor of Farr West, Utah and Terri (Mike) Seach of Stansbury, Utah. Her posterity is countless with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur R. Michalak; son, Arthur H. Michalak; daughters, Patsy Schaffer and Kathi Crites; her parents, brothers, and sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 18, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wastach, 1718 Combe Rd.
The family would like to thank Sydney from hospice and Randilynn for the special care, comfort, and extra love they gave Beth.
