Beth Petersen, 89, passed away Thursday, April 29, 2010 at her home, surrounded by her family.
She was born May 19, 1920 in South Weber, Utah to Alma L. and Sarah Kendell Bambrough.
On November 12, 1938, Beth married Grant Pitcher Petersen in Preston, Idaho. They have been married 71 years. Their marriage was solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on May 25, 1939.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in various callings throughout her lifetime. Beth and Grant served a mission to Ventura, California from 1983 to 1984. Beth and Grant worked for 24 years as name extractors for the LDS Church, where they extracted well over 2 million names.
She enjoyed cross-stitching and quilting for her posterity. She loved camping and fishing trips with her family over the years.
Beth is survived by her husband, Grant; a son, Wallace G. (Barbara) Petersen, Bountiful; a daughter, Peggy P. (Les) Wassom, Grand Junction, CO; four grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 3rd at 11 a.m. at the Pleasant Valley 5th Ward Chapel, 5735 South Crestwood Drive, South Ogden.
Friends and family may call Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. and Monday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.
Interment, Uintah Cemetery.
