Beth Wilcox
Beth Wilcox died January 30, 2010 in Bountiful, Utah of natural causes. She was born August 20, 1929 in Preston, Idaho, daughter of Francis L. and Florence Hawkes Wilcox. She was the third of ten children. Beth graduated from Utah State Agricultural College as a Registered Nurse. She worked at the LDS hospital in Logan, Utah until her retirement in 1975. She served a three year LDS mission (1955-1958) as the nurse at the Church College and Temple project in Hamilton, New Zealand.
Beth was preceded in death by her twin brothers Frank H. Wilcox and Francis H. Wilcox; brother Paul H. Wilcox; father Francis L. Wilcox and her mother Florence Hawkes Wilcox.
Beth was loved by all who knew her. She had a great sense of humor. She dealt with struggles that would have crushed most people through her loss of sight at an early age. She kept the faith and fought a good fight. “E haera ra” (Goodbye in Maori).
Beth is survived by Deanne W. Allen (Ray) of Hyrum, Utah; Dixie Howe Wilcox (Paul) of Bountiful, Utah; Blaine H. Wilcox (MarJean) of Salt Lake City, Utah; Shirley W. Nichols (Carroll) of St. George, Utah; Gordon H. Wilcox (Cherry) of Reno, Nevada; Ella W. Simons (Jerold) of Midway, Utah; and John H. Wilcox (Jeanette) of Bountiful, Utah.
We would like to thank the staff at Heritage Place, Life Care Center of Bountiful and Summit Hospice for taking such good care of Beth.
