Betsy Cardwell Hansen

Betsy Cardwell Hansen, 69, of Rexburg, ID passed away on Sunday October 9, 2022.  Betsy grew up with her parents Dan and Vera Cardwell and surrounded by her brothers and sister.  She married the love of her life, Robert (Bob) Henning Hansen on August 5, 1994.   They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Jordan River temple on December 16, 1994.  Betsy was a light and inspiration to all who knew her.  She lived a life of love, caring for her family and serving in her church community. 

Betsy is preceded in death by her loving husband, Bob (d. 2014), her beloved daughter, Marie Turner (d. 1988) and stepson Keith Turner (d.2013).

She is survived by three of her children, Larry Brantly Turner Jr. (Amanda), Elizabeth Turner Erickson (Eric) and Bob’s son Matthew Hansen; her grandsons , Christian Erickson, Andrew Erickson (Emily), Nathan Erickson and Brantley Erickson; and her siblings, Gaylen Cardwell (Liz), William Cardwell, David Cardwell (Becky), Susan Woodhead (Dan), and Adam Cardwell.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 29, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah.  Friends may visit with family Saturday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the mortuary prior to the service.

Betsy loved her family and friends, we will all miss her.
