Bette Evelyn Fergus

October 10, 1924 ~ July 21, 2011

ROY- Bette Evelyn Fergus, 86, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2011, of causes incident to age.

She was born in Chadwick, Illinois on October 10, 1924, to Dwayne McCulloh and Minerva Ohms. She married Eugene D. Adams in 1950 and later divorced. On June 3, 1965 she married Glen D. Fergus.

She taught her children and grandchildren the importance of a good education and instilled in them her love for music. She retired from Hill Air Force Base as a Quality Assurance Specialist after 26 years of service. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Bette is survived by her daughters; Mary Lynne Adams (John) Heins, Layton; Bette Jo Adams, St. George; step-son, Glen Gary (Maryann) Fergus, New Mexico; step-daughter LaDawn (Gary) Rickard, Hawaii; 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brother Robert McCulloh.

The family would like to thank the caregivers and residents of Country Pines Assisted Living, Inspiration Hospice, and Davis Hospital for all the love and care they provided to Bette.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road, So. Ogden. Friends may visit family on Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.

In lieu of flowers, please hug your loved ones.

There will also be a memorial service in St. George for the family and friends of the family of Bette Fergus. This service will be held at a later date.
