Bette met her husband of 60 years, Mack Fuller, while hitchhiking home from Salt Lake with her girlfriends. They were picked up by a couple of sailors that had just gotten discharged from the Navy. One of those sailors, Mack, became the love of her life and they were married on June 25, 1948 in Eden, Utah. Mack died in 2008 and Bette missed him dearly.

Bette and Mack had two children, Vicki (Dennis) Jennings and Curtis (Holly) Fuller, 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Throughout her life Bette was active in many social and civic organizations, Xi Omicron chapter of Beta Sigma Phi, the Ogden Elks, Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, and Daughters of the American Revolution. Her career spanned 30 years with IRS retiring in 1990. Throughout her life she bowled, golfed, boated, and traveled with family and many wonderful friends. Bette and Mack were able to travel the world including Hawaii, the Caribbean, China, and Australia. They spent countless weekends at Flaming Gorge where Bette terrorized the trout with her infamous "Big Bertha" trolling rod and reel. In her later life she became interested in her family's genealogy and collected and compiled volumes of family history. She lived a wonderful life!
