SOUTH OGDEN a€" Betty J. Frew Miller Allen, 83, died Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at Ogden Regional Medical Center of a lung infection.

She was born November 28, 1923 in Hooper, a daughter of Lorin and Emma Schofield Frew.

Betty married James LeRoy Miller on June 25, 1945 in San Francisco, California. James preceded her in death on March 7, 1974. She married Vaughn Allen on January 10, 1985 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Vaughn died December 9, 2006.

She was raised and educated in Hooper graduating from Weber High School. She lived in San Francisco, California for one year and in the Ogden area for the remainder of her life.

Betty was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in the Relief Society, as a Visiting Teacher and Ward Librarian.

Betty was an avid reader. She traveled to Hawaii, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Alaska, Italy, Mexico, and all over the continental United States.

We will miss Mom''s cheerfulness, feisty sense of humor, and quick wit, which she had right up to the end. She was always the life of the party and lit up any room she entered. Her last words were of love for her family.

Surviving are two sons and one daughter, Dennis James (Ardie) Miller, Ogden; Stephen Leslie (Judy) Miller, Salina, UT; Lorrie Lee (Tom) Creamer, Ogden; 11 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are one brother and one sister, Bill (Cora) Frew and Pauline Thompson.

Preceding her in death were both of her husbands, her parents, sister, Donna Muir, and great-grandson Brandon Miller.

The family expresses special thanks to her nurse Janae; respiratory therapist Randy, and Dr. John Hemmersmeier.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

Friends may call at the mortuary on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m.

Interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
