Betty Baldridge Andersen
OGDEN a" Betty B. Andersen, 88, passed away peacefully at the PeachTree Place on Monday, October 11, 2010 with her family members at her side.
Betty was born in Rock Springs, Wyoming on December 17, 1921 to Eugene Tyman and Rachel Emma Justice Baldridge, where she graduated from Rock Springs High School.
While attending Utah State University in Logan, she met and married Lee Roy Andersen on May 9, 1941 in the Logan LDS Temple. They made their home in Ogden for the past 63 years. She converted to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints while attending college at USU and served faithfully in various callings during her lifetime in the Highland Ward.
Betty was a stay-at-home mom where she took care of her children and her home. She was a beautiful seamstress, learning from her mother, creating lovely dresses and formals for her daughters. She was also a fantastic cook and loved family get-togethers, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas. Betty''s greatest joy in life was to be a good wife, mother and grandmother. She gave selfless love to everyone.
She leaves behind her husband, four daughters and their spouses, Nancy and Errol Smith, Spanish Fork; Linda and Mike Gardner, Kaysville; Jeannine and Gary Felix, Roy; Carolyn Raines, South Ogden; 18 grandchildren and 49 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her sister, Mae Woods, Boise, ID: and brothers, Gene (Beth) Baldridge, Pasadena, CA; and Bob (Sherrie) Baldridge, Payson, AZ;
Preceding Betty in death were her parents, sister, Francis Hilptershauser, grandchild, Chad Raines and great-granddaughter, Abigail Rose Colangelo.
The family expresses thanks to the staff at PeachTree Place and Hospice For Utah for the tender, loving care of their mother.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Family will visit with friends at the mortuary on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road.
