“Together Again”

Betty Jane loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away peacefully into the arms of her loving Father in Heaven in the Gardens Assisted Living Care Center in Ogden, Utah, on Thursday, February 9, 2017.  Betty was 94 years old.  She was born on June 1, 1922 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to John William Snell and Leah Lucille Seager.  Betty married the love of her life, David J. Fiet on June 28, 1946 in Forest Lawn, CA.

Betty was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She served in many positions during her life and spent most of her life in the Ogden 33rd Ward.  Betty was involved in several clubs where she enjoyed many lifelong friendships.  Betty learned to paint, and became quite an artist.  She loved painting landscapes and portraits of her grandchildren.  Betty was always a positive person, seeing only the good in everyone.  Betty was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother.  She was a remarkable example in every way.

Her family will so miss her loving, positive, presence, but are comforted by the knowledge of the beautiful reunion of Betty and her beloved husband, David.

Betty is survived by her three daughters, Marsha (John) Zwyner, Debbie (Larry) Stoddard, and Alyson (Terry) Shaw; her loyal sister, Jackie Bowen; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, a granddaughter, husband, and infant son, John David.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.  Friends may visit with family on Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

Special thanks to all the Gardens Assisted Living staff, all the Hospice Care of Northern Utah staff, her Capitol Street neighbors, and Nikki Greenwood for their tender loving care of this remarkable lady.
