Betty Isabelle Francom

Our loving wife, mother, and grandmother returned home to a loving Heavenly Father on Friday, March 29, 2013.

Betty was born on August 21, 1920 in Nephi, UT, the oldest of five children. She was raised in Nephi and graduated from Juab High School where she met her lifetime sweetheart, Glen Francom. They were married January 9, 1942 in the Salt Lake Temple. They have been together for 71 wonderful years.

They moved to Kaysville in 1952 and Fruit Heights in 1975 where she was active in church and community affairs. She loved teaching Relief Society and singing in the Singing Mothers. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and loved getting together to discuss church history.

She took great joy in her family. Betty and Glen have three children, 14 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren. She loved going to birthdays and cooking family dinners. The grandkids loved Grandma''s mashed potatoes and gravy. She loved to talk and tell stories and often made us laugh. Mom, we will miss going to "town."

She is survived by her husband, Glen, one son and two daughters: Michael G. (Joan) Francom, Kaysville; Sondra (Richard) Farris, Farmington; Carolyn (Dix) Merrill, Centerville; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her twin brothers Boyd (Dorothy) Bracken and Byron Bracken and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Isabelle Kendall Bracken and Milo Bracken; one grandson, and sisters Tessa Roberts and Margaret Hansen.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 N. Main where friends may visit with family from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.

The family wishes to express gratitude to all who offered prayers, love and support and those who cared for her during the last few years.
