Betty Lou Herman passed peacefully on October 27, 2024.
She was born on February 10, 1928, in Norman, OK to John Lee Harmon and Nettie White. She spent the beginning of her life there living with her grandparents and mother. Then she met the love of her life, Raymond Joseph Herman Sr. They were married in Oklahoma City, OK on November 24, 1945. Soon after, they moved to San Bernardino, CA. In 1965, they relocated to Utah and moved from Ogden to Fruit Heights and finally settled in Layton.
While living in Utah, Betty worked at Clover Club Foods in Kaysville as a receptionist. In her free time, she enjoyed bowling, baking, bingo, slot machines, and hot fudge sundaes. She always made sure everyone was fed and would cook as if she was feeding an army, even if it was only 2 people eating. She loved talking on the phone and had a great sense of humor, with a side of sass. Without fail, she would always go the extra mile for loved ones and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband Raymond, mother Nettie, son Raymond Jr., baby daughter Betty Ray, granddaughter in law Cathy, and great-grandson William. She is survived by her son Patrick, daughter in law Sandra, grandchildren Pablo (Glory) and Robin (Brian), along with 10 great-grandchildren (Mirae, Nick, Chris, Camille, Brandon, Nathan, Phillip, Sarah, Pamela, Mary) and 1 great-great-grandchild (Henry).
