Betty Maureen Naylor Howarth
KAYSVILLE a" Betty Maureen Naylor Howarth, 70, passed away Friday, December 14, 2007 at her home. She was born on March 31, 1937 in Bradford, Yorkshire, England, the daughter of Harry and Winnifred Smith Naylor. She was raised in Nottingham, England and immigrated to New York City in 1964. In 1966 she moved to her beloved San Francisco, then later to Salt Lake City to raise her family. She married Gary N Howarth on October 7, 1966 in the Salt Lake City Temple.
Betty was an active and involved member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many callings but her favorites were Compassionate Service Coordinator and visiting teacher.
Betty worked for the Office of Recovery Services for 18 years. She loved to cook and her baked goods were wonderful. Everyone especially loved her chocolate mint brownies.
Surviving are her husband, Gary; sons David (Alex Ko) Howarth, Santa Clara, CA; Steven (Kathleen) Howarth, Boise, ID; Trevor (Terri Jensen) Howarth, Holladay, UT; daughter Jennifer (Dallin) Baxter, Kaysville, UT; eight grandchildren, and brother John Hickling, Nottingham, England.
Preceded in death by her son Andrew and parents. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the Kaysville 7th Ward, 50 West 331 South. Friends and family may call Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main and Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.
Interment, Farmington City Cemetery.
