KAYSVILLE a€" Betty Marcene Arrowsmith Jensen passed away November 2, 2009 in South Ogden, Utah, just before her 88th birthday.

She was born December 1, 1921 in Ogden, Utah; a daughter of Wilford Chase Arrowsmith and Mary Arvilla Pickett. She married the love of her life, Elmo Ernest Jensen on November 1, 1939 in Ogden. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple, March 31, 1969.

She was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was an avid scouter when her sons were young and later on with her husband after they retired. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and also the DAR. She was an avid crocheter and made many treasures for her grandchildren. They will remember her for the fun days they spent with Grandma and Grandpa at the cabin in Evergreen Park. She loved to play cards and socialize with her friends and family whenever she could and wherever she went. She and her husband spent countless hours volunteering at the Ogden Railroad Museum.

Betty is survived by children: Brenda (Ron) Edvalson, Kaysville; Tom (Joyce) Jensen, New Holstein, WI.; Richard (Carolyn) Jensen, Cocoa, FL; Mary Ann (Paul) Davis, Logan; Pam (Kevin) Fielding, West Point; 25 grandchildren 40 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three brothers: Bill, Don and Bob Arrowsmith; a grandson, Wilford Jr. and her son Wilford (Bill) Jensen.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 N. Main Street. Friends and family may call Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road, Ogden, Utah.
