FARMINGTON - Betty Gene Savage Johns passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2012 in Farmington, Utah.

Betty was born on April 18, 1923 in Hyrum, Utah, to Delomb Isabelle Fish and Emmett Joseph Savage. Betty lived in Hyrum throughout her childhood, and as a young adult, moved to Ogden, Utah where she met Lamont James Johns. Betty and Lamont were married in the Salt Lake City Temple on June 28, 1944, and had three daughters, Beverly, Luanne, and Susan.

Betty spent many years working at Miller Floral, Salt Lake Hardware, and at the Davis County Court House and Public Library where she made many cherished lifelong friends. She was a talented gardener and seamstress, and a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Farmington 5th Ward.

The last six years of Betty''s life were spent at the County Care Assisted Living Center in Farmington. Betty''s family thanks the staff of County Care and Symbii Hospice for their tender and patient care.

Betty is survived by five siblings, brother Lynn (Deanne) Savage, sisters, Gwen Richardson, Idabelle Sanders, Lois Hugie and Carol Craythorne, her daughters, Luanne (Royal) Bowler and Susan (Colin) Burton; 10 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Beverly; and sister, Anna May.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 8, 2012, at 12:00 noon in the Farmington Rock Chapel, 272 North Main, Farmington, UT. Friends may visit family on Saturday only from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Farmington City Cemetery.
