Betty O. Minnoch

Betty O. Minnoch, 85, passed away on Monday, December 24, 2012 at daughter Margaret and son-in-law Grant''s home surrounded by family. She had a love of gardening and keeping her yard immaculate. She collected angels and was called Grandma Angel from some of her grandchildren. Some of her great-grandchildren just called her Great a€" this always brought a smile to her face. She enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and hunting. Betty loved to go dancing and listen to the bands at the Eagles and the Elks with her many friends; this earned her the name of Wild Grandma.

In the last years of Betty''s life she traveled to Apache Junction, Arizona to live during the winter months with her good friend, Neil Sniggs. They traveled to many different places and made many friends together as they took care of each other.

Betty is survived by her children, Floyd (Jeanene) Minnoch, Margaret (Grant) Butler, Mark (Ellen) Minnoch, Valerie (Fred) Schafer; 17 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Wilfred Ostrup; and sister-in-laws, R. V. Ostrup and Joann Ostrup.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Alfred Ostrup Jr. and Robert Ostrup, sister-in-law, Lois Ostrup, granddaughter, Janet Minnoch, great-grandson, Grady Minnoch and good friend, Keith Gates.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Hooper City Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Grant Butler, her son-in-law for being her caregiver for the past two years. He lovingly cared for her every need twenty-four hours a day. Betty loved Grant as a son, and we are very appreciative and love him as well. We can''t express enough thanks.

Our thanks to Symbii, Home Hospice, Tarrin, Elisa, Karla, Michelle and McKenzie, your service and compassion was greatly appreciated.
