Betty Miya

Betty Masaye Miya was born on April 1, 1928, in Selma, California to Dengaburo and Kiyo Ono Nobayshi.  She passed away May 25, 2019 at her home.

She attended schools in California, Arkansas and Illinois.

She married Hideo Miyagishima on February 2, 1949 in Salt Lake City, Utah and was a member of the Ogden Japanese Christian Church.

She enjoyed sewing and trips to Las Vegas.

Survived by her two sons, Kerry (Vicki) and Edwin (Jayme), four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, sisters and nephew.

Her wish was to be cremated.

Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
