Betty Jean Ridge Richins

Betty Jean Ridge Richins, 90, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 10, 2013. Jean was born August 2, 1922 in Park City, Utah to Noble Glenn Seth Ridge and Nellie May Peterson.

She attended school in Park City and graduated from Morgan High School in 1940. She married Theron Noble Richins on November 30, 1942. After the War, they moved to Hooper and owned Richins Market until 1972. Following this, she was employed and then retired from Hill AFB.

She is survived by her sister Joan Ridge Sargent, her daughter Connie (Floyd) and her son Val (Linda); grandsons Curtis, Todd (Sharla), Tyler (Alison), Chad (Ximen), Ryan (Kristin), Reggie (Donna), Russell (Clarissa), Cory (Kendelle), and great-grandchildren Samuel, Parker, Jacob, Katie, Brynley, Connor, Rileigh, Luke, Courtney, Leyla, Ezra, Olivia, August, Aria, Zay, and Violet.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents Glenn and Nell, her husband Theron, and her brother Bill.

The family would like to extend its heartfelt gratitude to the Beehive Home of Layton for the excellent care and comfort they provided to Jean.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 15th at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.

The family will meet with friends Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.
