Our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Betty Jean Warner Sides of Kaysville, Utah passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2010. She was 85 years old. She devoted her life to serving others. She dearly loved her family.

Betty was born on September 27, 1925, a twin, to Clyde Oborn Warner and Margaret Amelia Nash of Ogden, Utah. She grew up on a farm learning how to work hard which she continued to do throughout her life. She and her twin, Maxine, were the oldest of nine children. Betty loved to clean. She enjoyed cooking, canning, gardening, and ironing, being a master at each. Giving and sharing of her talents with others was her trademark, often baking more than 100 pies at Christmas time to give to friends and loved ones. Betty was an excellent homemaker and mother but also spent time employed at various different jobs, among them being kitchen manager at Layton High School. She also served in various church callings.

Betty married William Howard Sides on November 27, 1945 in Jackson, Missouri. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they lived in Jackson, Missouri; Morgan, Utah; and Kaysville, Utah where they spent most of their married life. They have four children, Donald (Laurie) Sides, Farmington; Darrell Gene Sides (deceased); Vickie Ann (Peter) Carrier, Kaysville; and Curtis Dee (Danna) Sides, Layton; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
