Betty Silverman
OGDEN - Betty Silverman, 84, passed away Monday, June 28, 2010 at the Lomond Peak Care and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado March 26, 1926 to Roy and Josephine Proffitt and grew up in Pasadena, California.
In 1948, she married Lester Faus. They had two children and were later divorced. She remarried Morris Silverman and together they owned and operated a shoe store in Montrose, California. Following the death of Morris she moved to Bishop, California where she performed volunteer work for the Wild Iris (a service for abused women) and also the Bishop adult day care program.
She was a member of St. James Catholic Church.
She is survived by her son Michael and daughter Kathleen (Terry) Boardman, three grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
We wish to thank the staff of Lomond Peak Care Center and Intermountain Hospice for the tender loving care they provided during her last days.
Interment will be at Valhalla Memorial Park in Burbank, California.
She was well loved by her family and will be greatly missed.
