Bettyann J. Warner

"Together Again" Bettyann J. Warner NORTH OGDEN - On Monday, May 4, 2009, our loving caring mother, sister, aunt and friend Bettyann Johnson Warner departed this earthly existence and returned home to sing in a new choir in our Heavenly Father's Kingdom. She was born November 2, 1930 in Salt Lake City, Utah and raised in the home of her parents, Wallace P. & Jane (Jean) Walker Johnson. Bettyann attended public schools in Salt Lake City graduating from East High School in 1948. Bettyann continued her education and graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelors degree in Education. While she was attending U of U she met her eternal companion Jack Eldon Warner. They were married in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on August 8, 1952. At age 17, Bettyann was accepted as a member of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. As a Choir member for 29 years, she recorded numerous albums and toured the world. Her love of music was passed on to many of her voice students and members of her ward choir. Bettyann taught kindergarten for many years in the Ogden City School District, but even after retirement she never stopped being a teacher. Surviving are her daughters, Nancy Ann (Lorin) Palmer, Boulder City, Nevada; Julie Ann (Jakob) Oenes, Harrisville; Laura Jean (Ryan) Sargent, Ogden; her son, Richard Eldon Warner, Ogden; and 13 grandchildren. Bettyann is also survived by her sister Helen Jean Cutler, West Jordan; and her brother David W. (Ann) Johnson, Sandy. She was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband Jack and beloved daughter Norma Jean Warner. We, the family, express many thanks to Dr. T. Sherman Sutherland, her many other doctors and to Applegate Hospice who have been so helpful in treating and caring for Bettyann. And special thanks to caring friends and neighbors. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 7 at 11 a.m. at the Rockcliff 4th Ward Chapel, 300 Iowa Avenue. Friends may call at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 North Washington Blvd., on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday at the Ward Chapel from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery, 4th Avenue and "N" Street.
