BETTY SUE THURSTON WARDEN

1932-2015

Betty Sue Thurston Warden, 82 died peacefully Wednesday March 4, 2015. She was born March 30, 1932 in Milford Utah to Burtha Verlette and Deseret Neront Hickman. She graduated from Milford high where she wrote for the school paper, was Pep Club president, FFA Queen Attendent, participated in 3 years of 4H, Drama and school plays. She also enjoyed writing for the Milford newspaper. Betty raised 6 children, family was her life. Anytime there was a family gathering Betty was there. She enjoyed spending time listening to her brothers sing in the barbers hop quartet. She loved to sing, dance, play the piano and sew. But we all know her greatest love was Ice Cream! She was loved by so many and will be greatly missed.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband Dan Warden; her parents; and all 14 of her brothers and sisters; her son Kelly and grandson Josh.  She was the youngest and last to go and boy was she excited to be reunited with them.  Betty was survived by her 5 children: Michael (Nancy) Thurston, Rodney (Michelle) Thurston, Mark (Sue) Thurston, Rick (Roxanne) Thurston and her daughter Leanne Wiley. She had 20 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great- grandchildren.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Avalon Care Center and Rocky Mountain Hospice for taking such great care of our “B”.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 10 ^th at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary 727 N. 400 E.  Family and friends may visit Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service at the mortuary on Tuesday.  Condolences may be shared at www.lindquistmortuary.com
