Beverly Jolene Etterlein Bingham
Our sweet, loving, mom, grandma, grandma-great, sister, aunt and friend returned to her Heavenly home and her life-long sweetheart on March 13, 2013. Mom was born on September 5, 1932 in Ogden to Velda B. and Joseph W. Etterlein. She grew up in Ogden and attended Ogden High School. She married Paul E. Bingham on February 6, 1949 in Elko, Nevada. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple. They have four children: Kathy Layton, Craig (Les) Bingham, Joseph (Julie) Bingham and Susan (Art) Johnson.
Beverly was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many capacities with her favorite being the Relief Society Homemaking Specialist during the old time "bazaar".
She loved volunteering at McKay Dee Hospital and as an election judge along with her closest friends.
Beverly loved playing cards, board games, working puzzles and exploring on her iPad. She was an avid reader. She had many handicraft talents such as crocheting, cross stitching, needlepoint, embroidery, and knitting. She could have held her own bazaar from her home with all of her homemade items. She loved making homemade cards with her girls while giggling, eating popcorn, pretzels, and M&Ms, Butterfingers and Baby Ruths.
She was very devoted to all of her grandchildren, family and friends. In the last few months she has enjoyed her phone conversations with her sister, Gloria and swapping knitting patterns.
Life was difficult for mom the past five years but she was a trooper!! She did the very best she could and endured to the end.
Surviving are her four children, 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, brother, Kenneth (Carol Jean) Etterlein; sisters, Nancy (Dennis) Mildon and Gloria Etterlein, all of Ogden.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brother, Francis.
A special thanks to the anticoagulation lab at McKay Dee Hospital and the U of U Dialysis Center of Pleasant View for the loving care and support given to our special mom.
