Beverly Flint

Beverly Flint Our beloved mother, Beverly Flint, completed her mortal mission the morning of June 8, 2013. She was a gracious, lovely lady, dearly loved by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and friends. Beverly was born in Salt Lake City on August 22, 1926, the oldest of two daughters born to Leland Blood & Dora Layton Thornley Flint. She was raised in Salt Lake City, and spent many happy days with her beloved grandparents in Layton, UT, and summers at the family cabin in Woodland, UT. She graduated from East High School then attended the U of U, where she affiliated with Delta Delta Delta sorority. She was honored to be an attendant in the Days of 47 Royalty in 1944. On June 27, 1945, she married her high school sweetheart, Earl Bennett Fillmore. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. They were blessed with four children. Later divorced. Mom was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many positions in Primary, Relief Society, and twice serving as a full time missionary, in England and in Philadelphia, PA. From 1976-1988 she served as a hostess for the Church Office Building, as well as a guide on Temple Square. She was very proud of being one of the first members of the Women’s Endowment Committee for Primary Children’s Hospital for 13 years, and in the establishing of the Festival of Trees in 1971. She was an avid supporter & patron of the Utah Symphony, Ballet West, Utah Opera, and Pioneer Theatre. She loved to travel and circled the world in her travels. Her greatest love was spending time with all her family. She adored her grandchildren and took them on many travel adventures with her, making memories they will always treasure. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Marilyn. She is survived by her four children: Patricia Ann Knapp (Ralph), Bonnie Lee Talbot (Terry), Robert Flint Fillmore (Pamela), and M. Susan Beaudoin (James); 24 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces & nephew. A private family service will be held at Lindquist’s Kaysville Mortuary. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
