Beverly Fredrickson Hess

Beverly Fredrickson Hess, 84, passed away on Thursday, April 26, 2018. She was born on December 21, 1933, in Corinne, Utah, the daughter of Christian and Jennie Lysle Steed Fredrickson. She spent her early years in Carlin, NV. At 11, when her mother died in 1941, she went to live with her sister and brother in law, Alice and George Davis and their three children at the Chesepeak Duck Club. She graduated from Box Elder High School in 1951. Beverly received her Secretary/Bookkeeping Certificate from LDS Business College.
She married Shirl B. Hess on February 25, 1955 in Corinne. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. They raised their family in Washington Terrace. Shirl passed away on January 27, 2011.
For 54 years, she was an active member of Washington Terrace LDS 1st Ward, where she served in the Cub Scouts, Primary, and Relief Society. She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers – Camp Rainbow Connection.
Beverly loved spending time with her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She loved camping and going to the chariot and horse races.
Beverly is survived by her sons, Michael (Diane) of Layton, Donald (Irene) of Preston, ID, and David (Kathy) of Taylor, UT; daughter, Debra (Randy) Stone of Brigham City, two special former daughters-in-law, Sabina Hess of Salt Lake City and Peggy Cope of Pleasant Grove; 14 grandchildren, 12 step-grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren with one on the way; brother, Fred (Cheryl) Davis; and sister, Diane Harper. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 10 siblings, inlaws Tracy and Henrietta Hess and Scott and Patsy Hess; special nephews, Travis Beus and Neil Harper; and little sister/niece, Elaine and Ronald Nelson.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
