Beverly Jean Moss Johnson, 84, passed away peacefully in the morning of Tuesday, April 29, 2014.  She was born on January 28, 1930, in San Francisco, California, the daughter of Elwin Robert and Carrie Marie Kelly Moss.  Less than a year after she was born the family moved to Ogden, Utah.  She graduated from Ogden High School in 1948.

She married Laurence H. Clough on May 26, 1950 in Salt Lake City.  Beverly and Laurence lived in Valdosta, GA, the Philippines, and Las Vegas before settling back in Utah.  They later divorced.  Beverly married Arthur L. Johnson, Jr. on June 21, 1985 in Ogden, Utah.  Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on June 21, 1993.  They were married for 28 wonderful years.

Beverly was a skilled seamstress. She worked in Ogden at Crandel Tailoring Mill, 20th Century Knitting Mills, Hill Air Force Base and the Internal Revenue Service. She enjoyed sewing and quilting and made a baby blanket for each one of her grandchildren.  She also enjoyed gardening.

She was a member of Mount Fort 1st Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She served in the Primary, Young Women, Relief Society, and as a ward missionary.  She was active in Family History and Temple work.  She loved working on her family history.  She especially enjoyed being a Cub Scout den mother.

Beverly cherished the companionship of Little Paco, her Chihuahua buddy, especially after she lost her Little Toby in 2004.

Beverly is survived by her loving husband, Arthur; sons, Paul H. (Cindy) Clough, Clinton;  Evan (Deonna) Johnson, Enterprise; Daniel (Ruth) Johnson, Firth, ID; Kenny Johnson, Tulia, TX; and Arthur III (Sue) Johnson, Willard; daughters, Kathy (Gary) Mortimer, Tremonton; Stephanie Chadwick, Roy; Debbie (Dan) Hastings, Harrisville, and Carolyn Bevan, Herriman; 37 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandsons, sister, Darlene Bullock, Ogden;  and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Kari Ann Clough; sons, David and Arthur Daniel Johnson; grandson, Jeremy Chadwick; and sister, Peggy Rallison.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 5, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.  Friends may visit with family on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
