Beverly Jean Skeen Pledger, 79, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at her daughter''s home in Morgan.
Beverly was born May 9, 1932 in Plain City, Utah to Annie Maw and James Blaine Skeen.
Mom grew up in Plain City and graduated from Weber High School.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She married her sweetheart, the love of her life, Robert William Pledger on March 28, 1952 in Ogden. They spent 56 years together before dad passed away in 2008.
They loved the horse races, they loved traveling, but most of all they loved their time spent together.
Mom always worked hard to take care of the family. When they started the business "Pledger Cutter Grind", she was the bookkeeper.
Surviving are their children Sherrel (David) Oblock, Nibley; Diane (Steven) Clark, Morgan; Blake (Tammy) Pledger, Ogden; as well as nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are her sister, Beth Bitton and her brother, Ronald Skeen.
Preceding her in death are her husband Robert W. Pledger, sisters Arlene Alvord and Barbara Skeen, and brothers Lyman and Garry Skeen.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, June 25th at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
Family will greet friends Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
The family wishes to give special thanks to Steven Clark who has given his home and his heart for the past two years to make Mom comfortable.
