Beverly Lucille Frueauf Pokarth

CLEARFIELD – Our beloved mother Beverly Lucille Pokarth, 78, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2015.

She was born June 18, 1936 in Lincoln, Nebraska the daughter of Arthur and Mildred Schleich Frueauf.

Beverly married Edward Joseph Pokarth on April 25, 1994 in Layton, Utah.

She was a member of the Lutheran Church.

Beverly loved supporting the disabled and paralyzed veterans. She loved to read, enjoyed curling up with her dogs while reading, and keeping in touch with her family on the phone. She loved her children very much and was always willing to help her family.

Surviving are her daughter, Gina (John) Harms, Brigham City; sons, Mark (Ynez) Gurnsey, Layton; Scott (Karla) Gurnsey, Tremonton; Shawn (Karen) Gurnsey, Clearfield; 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents, sister, Virginia, husband, Edward Pokarth, grandparents and many aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family Tuesday one hour prior to services at the mortuary. Interment, Clearfield City Cemetery.

Family would like to thank Dr. Bruce Burtenshaw for the many years of care he and his staff gave her. We would also like to thank all of those who were so kind to her at Rocky Mt. Rehab.
