Beverly Jeanne Porter, 75, passed away Friday, June 8, 2007, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born May 3, 1932 in Ogden, Utah to James Leon and Elsie Frazier Berry. She was raised and educated in Ogden and graduated from Ogden High School, with honors.
In 1950, Beverly married David John Phillips. They later divorced. In 1959, she married Fred Brown Hunter. They later divorced. In 1974, she married Leaon Leroy Porter. They later divorced.
In 1988 Beverly moved to Wendover, Nevada. She was employed as an Office Manager and was the Secretary of many bowling leagues. She returned to Ogden in 1999.
She enjoyed crossword puzzles, bowling, bingo and gambling.
Beverly is survived by her companion of 19 years, Bob Taylor; her children, Barry Lee (Lela) Phillips, Taylorsville; James R. Hunter (David White), Taylorsville; Russell Gene (Lisa) Hunter, Winnemucca, NV; Douglas Brian (Pam) Hunter; Carol Jean (Lee) Priest, Ogden; Sandra Lynn (Marty) Henderson, Fredericksburg, VA; Linda Sue (Jerry) Clay, West Haven; 24 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Richard Leon Berry and Kenneth Earl Berry.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Roland Eugene Berry, a grandson and one great-granddaughter.
The family wishes to express a special thanks to LiLla for her love and care and the staff at Hospice of Utah.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, June 13th at 11 a.m. at the Ogden City Cemetery, 1875 Monroe Blvd.
