Beverly Parkinson Sewell

April 13, 1927 — December 22, 2024

Beverly Parkinson Sewell, our loving mother and grandmother, returned to her heavenly home on December 22, 2024, and was once again reunited with her sweet eternal companion. Beverly was born on April 13, 1927, in Wellsville, Utah, to Maurice and Sarah Ann Parkinson. She graduated from South Cache High School in Hyrum, Utah.

During World War II she worked at the Defense Depot Ogden, later transferring to Hill Air Force Base. During that time period she met Sherman Sewell, and they were married on November 29, 1946, in Wellsville, Utah. A short time later, their vows were solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. They were able to spend 70 wonderful years together. Sherman passed away on April 4, 2017.

Beverly was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had a firm testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ and served faithfully in many callings in the Church throughout her life. One of her favorites was serving with her husband Sherm in the Ogden Family History Center for 14 years.

Beverly enjoyed traveling and camping with family, and also friends from the “Over the Hill Sam’s Chapter.” She and her husband also enjoyed many years of square dancing together. She was a wonderful quilter, seamstress, and cook sharing many delicious meals in which she had prepared for others.

Beverly is survived by her five children, Ron Sewell, South Ogden; Scott (Cindy) Sewell, Washington Terrace, Utah; Karl (Jan) Sewell, Clinton, Utah; Shelly (Dave) Barlow, Ogden, Utah; Jackie (Mark) Dotson, West Wendover, Nevada; 16 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her eternal companion, Sherman; her parents, two sisters, daughter-in-law, Diana Sewell, and a great-granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 28, 2024, at 2 p.m. at the Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.

The family wishes to express thanks to the Inspiration Hospice, Dee Dee, Paula, and Denice, for the wonderful care they provided for Mom.
