Beverly Van Vleet

July 28, 1929 — October 17, 2024

Beverly Day Baird Van Vleet peacefully passed away on October 17, 2024 while residing with her son, Jeff, in Kaysville, Utah.

She was born July 28, 1929 to Harvey Huntsman Day and Ellen Moss Day with brother Berdell who died at one and a half months old in 1927.

 She married high school sweetheart, Robert (Bob) Dale Baird on June 18, 1947, by eloping to Elko, NV, prior to him going into the navy, which caused no small stir with their 2 mothers. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, the following year. Their marriage produced 5 children, Robert Dennis (Danielle), Sandra (Stephen) Fowler; Alan (Sue); Gregrey (Suzanne); Jeffrey (Patty). She is preceded in death by her husband Robert in 1995, and children Robert Dennis, and Sandra (Stephen). As a result of these 5 children, Beverly has 24 grand children, 50 great grandchildren with 2 deceased, and 10 great, great grand children.

 She was later married to Leland Van Vleet about 21 years until his passing, from 1996 to 2017, with step children Scott (deceased) and Karen (Ron) Whipp and 3 step grandchildren. 

 Beverly completed High School at Davis High in Kaysville Utah, where she was a cheerleader in 1947. She worked in various retail jobs throughout her life, and she even sold product for Avon and Mary Kay. While married to Bob, who was a career Air Force pilot, she was able to travel, visit, and live in many places throughout the United States and Western Europe. She was a military daughter, as well as a military wife, mother, and grandmother. She adamantly loved and respected the United States and those that serve in military and law enforcement. 

 She was a life-long and active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She belonged to the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Throughout different periods of her life her hobbies and pastimes included painting, playing the accordion, reading, traveling, eating out, watching movies and TV shows, talking on the phone, and anything else that involved family. She also was a dog lover, stating she had over 20 dogs throughout her life.

 Family and close friends may attend the private viewing, family prayer, and closing of the casket that will be held at Lindquist's Bountiful Mortuary, 727 No. 400 East, on Friday, October 25, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. 

Interment will be at the Bountiful City Cemetery at 12:00 p.m.

A light meal and gathering will be available following the interment at the Hess Farms Park Church at 572 East 1625 South, Kaysville, UT 84037
