Billy B. Frew, 86, passed away Monday, June 2, 2008 at the Davis North Hospital. He was born December 3, 1921 in Hooper, Utah to Lorin Frew and Emma Schofield. Billy married Cora Mae McDonald on January 7, 1942, in Hooper. Their marriage was solemnized May 28, 1971 in the Salt Lake Temple. They lived in Hooper and Florida until 1946, when they moved to Clearfield. In 2001, they built a new home in West Point. He enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting with his family. The Flaming Gorge area was his favorite place on Earth. He loved the 4th of July and hosting family cookouts. His family and friends were always the most important to him and he could talk to anyone and did so regularly. He was always a "Hooper Boy" and spent every Friday there visiting with his friends. Billy was proud to serve his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He retired from Hill Air Force Base after 31 years of service in Flight Test and Tech Services. Billy is survived by his wife of 66 years, Cora; one son, William M. and Judy, West Point; three daughters, Peggie Lynn Frew, Roy; Carol Sedgwick, Kaysville; Pamela and David Buckley, Syracuse; one sister, Pauline Thompson, Ogden. He had 17 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Donna Muir and Betty Vaughn, and one son- in -law, Dennis Sedgwick. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 6th at 11:00 a.m. at the West Point 14th Ward Chapel, 2852 West 300 North, West Point. Friends and family may call Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., at the church Interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd., where military honors will be accorded.
