KAYSVILLE a€" Our loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, age 93, passed away peacefully at her home in Kaysville, UT, with her son, Cai Nielsen at her side.

She was born in Skrodstrup, Denmark to Peter Andersen and Anna Rahbek Andersen. She was the youngest of seven and only daughter. She married Hans Julian Nielsen in 1934. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Los Angeles Temple in 1960.

Hans and Gitte had three boys, Andree, Benny, and Cai. Her passions were her family and friends, quilting, knitting, crocheting, reading, gardening, and her roses.

Gitte was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, husband, and sons, Andree and Benny. She is survived by son, Cai J. Nielsen (Suzanne), 13 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren. Her family and friends will deeply miss her love and compassion.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 25, 2010 at 2 p.m. at the Kaysville 7th LDS Ward, 331 So. 50 W., Kaysville, UT. Friends may visit family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the church.
