Blaine Randall Tidwell

Blaine Randall Tidwell passed away Sunday, April 21, 2019. He was born August 1, 1924 in Amalga, Utah, a son of Roy Edwin and Ellen Caravan Anderson Tidwell. He was raised in Smithfield, Utah and graduated from North Cache High School.
On April 20, 1945, Blaine married the love of his life, Ila Palmer, in the Logan LDS Temple.
He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving two missions with his wife and as a Temple worker for three years.
His happiness and joy came from his wife Ila (1927-2015), their family, serving others, and being a patriot with a strong love of country. He served in WWII and the Korean War. He was a creator and had many creative hobbies. He was a great neighbor, grandfather, father and loving husband. He was loved by all who knew him.
He is survived by his children, Steve (Annie), Debbie Young (Dick), Bruce (Shawna), Doug (Deborah-deceased), Paul (Colleen), 22 grandchildren and 59 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at the Lorin Farr 3rd Ward Chapel, 1570 East 13th Street, Ogden. The family will meet with friends on Thursday, from 10 to 11:15 a.m. at the church. Interment, Smithfield Cemetery. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
