Blanche Maude Hamby

CLEARFIELD a€" Blanche Maude Hamby, 92, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born November 9, 1919 in Mammoth, Utah the daughter of Edwin R. and Crystal Maude Taylor Westover.

Blanche married Harry LeGrand on June 20, 1940 (deceased) and later married Lem Hamby Jr. on October 15, 1947 (deceased).

She was a member of the Clearfield 4th Ward. Blanche''s home was a gathering place for her family and friends. Her family was very important to her.

Blanche loved traveling with her sisters, sewing, crocheting, quilting, making porcelain dolls and doing needlework.

Surviving are her sons, Harry L. Bryan, Layton; Kim R. (Chris) Hamby, Clinton; Chuck T. (Kathy) Hamby, Clinton; daughters, Shauna H. Loe, East Layton; Reta Beutler, Layton; 21 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her husbands, Harry L. Bryan, Lem Hamby Jr., son, Lem Hamby III, two grandchildren, one great-grandchild, one great-great-grandchild, one son-in-law, one daughter-in-law, brother, Leo Westover, two sisters, Minta Larsen, Diane Doose and her parents.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 27, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Clearfield Mortuary, 1050 South State Street. Friends may visit family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park in Salt Lake City.
