Blanche Ethel Talbot Pyper
May 26, 1934 ~ January 13, 2015

Our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and very best friend, Blanche Ethel Talbot Pyper, 80, returned home to our Heavenly Father on January 13, 2015, in South Jordan, Utah.

She was born on May 26, 1934 in Winder, Idaho to Mary Elizabeth Taylor and Clarence Earl Talbot.  Blanche spent 4 ½ years of her early life with her uncle and aunt.  She had a deep love and gratitude for them.

Blanche was married to Ernest Pyper, her best friend and eternal companion, on June 18, 1954 in Winder, Idaho.  Their vows were solemnized on August 5, 1955 in the Logan LDS Temple.

She attended Preston High School and LDS Seminary.  While in high school, she played basketball.

Blanche enjoyed working in the yard, being with her family, doing genealogy and serving in the temple.

She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She served in many leadership positions.  She served a temple mission in Manila, Philippines with her husband.  She continued to serve as an ordinance worker in the Ogden LDS Temple upon returning home from their mission.

Surviving are their four children, Dennis (Donna) Pyper, Beverly (Nolan) Gerber, William (Janiel) Pyper, and Pauline (Mark) Cox; 20 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.  Also surviving are two sisters, Goldie Roskelley and Maggie (Ivan) Howell, one brother, LaVern (Margaret) Talbot.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest; her parents, three sisters, Lola, Ramona, Juanita; two brothers, Ivan and Dale; and her daughter-in-law, Kemy.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Memorial Park Ward, 3755 Porter Ave., Ogden.  Friends may visit family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.  Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
The family would like to thank all those that have shown their love and kindness to Blanche.
