Blanche White Sadler
Blanche White Sadler (90) returned to her Heavenly and Earthly Parents on March 8, 2017 and rejoined her husband of 67 years. As her time on this earth came to an end she was loved and comforted by family and friends.
Blanche was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on May 26, 1926, the first child of Henry and Isabelle Powell White. Her youth was filled with challenges but like a lonely tree that clings to a rock she also learned to weather the storms of life. She graduated from West High School in Salt Lake City, Utah
She married her eternal sweetheart, Clifford Dewey Sadler, Jr., on March 18, 1948 in the Salt Lake City Temple. Together they lovingly raised nine children of their own and also sheltered many others. Together they left a bright example to their posterity and to all of us of service above self.
Her legacy was one of love. To know her was to feel that love. Her greatest joy was her family yet her maternal care extends to all. While raising her family she also found ways to work that allowed her to continue serving whether it be at an elementary school, a care center, or working at Hill Air Force Base. She always loved her garden and enjoyed sharing it with others.
Blanche has strong faith in God. She was a member of the LDS church and always did her best with many callings throughout her life.
Blanche was preceded in death by her husband Cliff (2015), her siblings ; Lavon Woodruff, Ruth Holland and Lamar Hicks and her granddaughter, Rachelle L. Sadler (2003),
She is survived by her sister, Isabelle Phibbs, her children; Colleen Davenport, Clifford Merrill Sadler (JoAnn), Joel Sadler (Jeanette), Joy Thatcher (Jonathan), Robert Sadler, Angie Balling (Scott), Karla Allred (Russell), John Sadler (RaLean), Alisa Williams (Trent-D) and many grandchildren and an increasing number of great-grandchildren and loving nieces and nephews.
Some of her final words in this life, "Thank you and be kind to each other," were words she truly lived by. She emulated gratitude and compassion.
The family wishes to thank Summit Home Health and especially her granddaughter, Brittney “BJ”, for their love and care given to Mom.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. where friends and family may visit prior to the service from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Interment following at the Bountiful City Cemetery.
