Blayne Ted Livingston passed away March 14, 2011 in Ogden, Utah at the age of 83 after fighting the good fight against many ailments for many years without complaint. He was born March 21, 1927 in Provo, Utah, a son of Clarence Ted Livingston and Ethel Paxman.
Raised in Salt Lake, Blayne attended local schools and graduated from East High. While in high school, at the age of 16, he met Merlynn Cornia, his future wife. They married September 3, 1948 in Pasadena, California. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Los Angeles Temple. His devotion to Merlynn and her care was evident even until the day of his passing. They lived in Pasadena and Arcadia, California and created wonderful memories and relationships there with family and friends.
Growing up during the depression, Blayne became a hard working man. His career of 35 years as a printer/foreman working for Price Books and Forms demonstrated his dedication to his employer and hard work. His one prideful delight has been the post secondary educations that his grandchildren have obtained.
Upon retirement in 1993, he and Merlynn built a home in St. George, Utah. Their home was always open for road weary friends and family from Utah and California and new friends made in St George. One of his saddest days was leaving his St. George friends to move to Northern Utah for health care. As a faithful member of the LDS church, Blayne served in many capacities and he was a dedicated servant. His charity extended far past his church callings.
Blayne is survived by his wife Merlynn, his children and spouses, Kent (Fran) Riverside, CA, Debbie (Randy Sessions) Morgan, UT, Tracy (Janet) Lee''s Summit, MO, nine grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his brother Robert (Zelda) Livingston and sister Mary Behm of Salt Lake City.
Graveside services will be held at 11 am Saturday, March 19, 2011 at the Midvale City Cemetery, 471 W. 6th Ave. (7500 S.) Friends may visit Friday, March 18th from 6-8 pm at Lindquist''s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. Condolences may be shared at www.lindquistmortuary.com
