Loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Bob Orlo Preece, 87, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2014. He was born on April 3, 1927 to Orlo John and Viola Pugmire Preece in North Ogden, Utah.  He was raised in Provo and returned back to Ogden where he graduated from Ogden High School receiving seven letters in multiple sports.  He continued his athletic activities by playing basketball and graduating from Weber State College in 1948.

He joined the Navy in 1945 during World War II and then began his career working for the Southern Pacific Railroad in 1951, retiring after 38 years of service.

He enjoyed golfing with his brothers, working in his yard, and putting together jigsaw puzzles.

Bob married the love of his life, Kathryn Ann Wilson. They were married for 55 years and had four daughters.

Bob is survived by his three daughters, Deborah Sproviero, Poway, CA; Pam (Lynn) Ostler, Ogden, UT; and Cyndi (Chris) Behm, Rockvale, TN; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn; daughter, Julie Johnson; and son-in-law, Michael Sproviero.

Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road. Friends may visit family on Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd
