Bobbie “Bob” Thomas
WARREN – Bobbie “Bob” Thomas, 84, died Monday, September 29, 2008 at his home of a heart attack.
He was born June 7, 1924 in Warren, a son of Delbert and Rhoda Elizabeth East Thomas.
On November 1, 1946, Bob married Dorothy C. Colt in Ogden. Dorothy died May 14, 1994. He married JeNeal Skeen on July 24, 1999 in Plain City.
He lived in Warren, Ogden and Washington Terrace.
Bob was the owner of Thomas Metal Products and a member of Sheet Metal Workers Local 312. He also taught at the Clearfield Jobs Corps and Ogden-Weber Applied Technology College.
Bob enjoyed farming and was a master tinkerer.
Surviving are his wife, JeNeal, of Warren; two sons and one daughter, Lee (Jean) Thomas, Roy; Dr. Milton (Susan) Thomas, Allen, TX; Annette (Steve) Hancock, West Weber; two step-daughters, Kim (Ken) Dixon, West Haven; Kathy (Ron) Hadley, Plain City; 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren and 14 step-great-grandchildren.
Bob is also survived by one brother, Duane (Barbara) Thomas, Plain City; and one sister, Beth (John) Fleming, Sunset.
Preceding him in death were his first wife, Dorothy, son, Robert C. Thomas, grandson, John Darro Thomas, parents, brothers, Gilbert Thomas, Milton Thomas, Ward Thomas, Joseph Thomas, Roy Thomas, and sister, Vera Penrod.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., with his son, Bishop Lee Thomas, officiating.
Friends may call at the mortuary on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
Interment, Warren Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Shriner’s Hospital for Crippled Children, 1275 Fairfax Ave., Salt Lake City, UT 84103.
