Bobby Lyle Webb
LAYTON-TABIONA- Bobby Lyle Webb, born October 5, 1941 in Heber City UT to Lyle G and Elaine Giles Webb, the first of six children. Loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend passed away May 17, 2007 at his home surrounded by his family following a well fought battle with cancer. Bobby married his high school sweetheart, Anna Lynette Lewis in Tabiona UT July 30, 1960 and later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.
Bob was raised and educated in Tabiona moving to Salt Lake City learning the trade of a Glazier. He co-owned and operated A&B Glass for almost 30 years serving many in the state.
Bob loved spending time with his family, hunting, fishing and relaxing in Tabby, his home away from home. An avid sports fan, he loved the Utah Jazz, BYU, and the New York Yankees.
Bob was a member of the LDS church serving as a Bishop and various other callings, living a life full of service and love for the Savior. Bob has now begun the mission he has longed to serve.
Later in his life he spent much time traveling, visiting several states including Hawaii, New York, and cruising to the Bahamas.
Bob is survived by loving wife, Anna, 2 sons, Rodney-Tami (Syracuse) Craig-Sherri (Layton) 6 grandchildren, Ryan, Sari, Heidi, Brooks, Heather and Samee. Father, Lyle. Brother, Cloyd. Sisters, Lila and Laura. A special daughter-in-law, Jamie Green. And Bob’s long time business partner, Basil-Marjorie Defa
Preceding Bob in death, his mother Elaine, brother, Nyle and baby sister.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Charlee, Becky, and Emily of Hospice Alliance for their love and support. Also Dr. Weis and nurse, Nancy of the Huntsman Cancer Institute, for their vision and hope, adding years to Bob’s life.
Funeral services will be held Monday May 21, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the Layton West Stake Center, 1715 W. 1600 No. Friends and family may call Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Monday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.
Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
