Bonnie Lee Benson

June 16, 1936 — February 8, 2023

Bonnie L. Benson’s spirit departed her body to be with her Lord and Savior on January 8, 2023. Bonnie struggled with total disability following an operation in December 2014.  Her loving husband of 66 years has been her caregiver.

They met in 1952 while attending High School. She was the home coming queen for 1953 /54. They were married May 1957 and lived in many locations, including Spain and Germany, during Richard’s 20 year Air Force career.

Bonnies only career aspiration was to be a wife, mother and home maker and she accomplished all three with complete devotion. She was a loving wife to Richard, devoted mother to three sons, Jeffrey and wife Karen, Scott and wife Katiuska and Steven. Steven being a special needs son required her special attention, which she gave without complaint. She maintained a warm loving home, and all were well cared for. She was always the mother hen on RV camping trips ensuring all the kids and grandkids were safe and well fed.

Bonnie was an active member of the Community Methodist church choir for many years and a volunteer in the church kitchen during food preparation needs. She was also active in the school PTA.

Bonnie is the youngest of nine children with sisters, Ann Kaufman being the only one remaining.

Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah.
