LaVon “Bonnie” Snow Higley, 88, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2007 at the
Crestwood Care Center.
She was born February 28, 1919 in Honeyville, Utah to Robert Knox and Mildred Michaelis Snow.
She grew up in Honeyville and then lived in Brigham City until 1941.
On May 12, 1941, Bonnie married Bert Higley. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls
LDS Temple. They made their home in Hooper until 1957 when they moved to Sandpoint, Idaho. In
1969 they settled in Bountiful, Utah.
Bonnie was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she loved working in
the Temple.
Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family especially siblings, children and
grandchildren. She loved her rose garden and tomato soup.
Bonnie is survived by her children, Bert (Susan) Higley, Palmdale, CA; Con (Charlene) Higley,
Apache Junction, AZ; Scott (Judi) Higley, Riverton, UT; Mrs. Mary Ellen (Lou) Vandenburg, Rolling
Hills, CA; Mrs. Beverly (Ray) Griffin, Springfield, OR; Ms. Kay Holley, Murray, UT; and Mrs.
Denise (Bruce) Jarvis, Clinton, UT; 25 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; two brothers,
Max (Linda) Snow, Hyrum; Jerry Snow, Brigham City; Mrs. Sonoma (Quinton) Wilson, Brigham City;
Mrs. Ruth (William) Balcom, Kansas City, MO; Mrs. Tess (Walter) Pack, Idaho Falls, ID; Mrs.
Colleen (Benny) Mortenson, St. George, UT; and Mrs. Kirma (Ray) Larsen, Mesa, AZ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and several siblings.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 17th at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West
5600 South.
Friends and family may call Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m., at the mortuary.
Interment, Hooper Cemetery.
