Bonnie McCoy Holinski
August 30, 1956 ~ May 24, 2015
On Sunday, May 24, 2015 our beautiful, sweet loving mother wife, sister and grandma, Bonnie McCoy Holinski, 58, passed away peacefully in her sleep.
She was born August 30, 1956 in Brigham City, Utah to Harvey McCoy and Kayleene Keyes. She was the second of three children. She graduated from Bonneville High School Class of 1974.
In August of 1974, she married Kevin Burrell. Together they had four beautiful children, Kody, Kyle, Kasey and Candace. They were later divorced. Bonnie married the love of her life, Barry Holinski in January of 2001. They had three dogs, Leo, Libby and Bear, all of whom she adored.
Bonnie worked at Smith’s for many years and made many wonderful and lasting friendships. She later retired to spend time with her family.
In the last two years, she has put her heart and soul into caring for her husband who is battling cancer. She lived for her children and eight grandchildren. Bonnie never missed an opportunity to spend time with them, whether it be a soccer game, a dance recital, or just a chance to tend, she was always there. She was a loyal, sweet woman who never shied away from showing others love.
Bonnie enjoyed crocheting, making blankets for everyone, scrapbooking, planting flowers, and being with her family. She loved the color purple because it reminded her of her Mom.
Mom, your passing saddens all of us so much, but we are so happy that you get to see your Mom again. We love you; we will never forget you and all you have done for us. Our dear Mom, we love you and will miss you so very much. Nothing can ever replace your love for us.
Bonnie is survived by her husband Barry; her children, Kody (Kristen) Burrell, Kyle (Natalie) Burrell, Kasey (Natalie) Burrell, Candace (Caitin) Pendley; her eight grandchildren, Gunner, Bailey, Kinzee, Avery, Bodie, Kennedy, Jersey, Carli; her sister, Debbie (Dave) Girardo; her brother, Kevin (Kristie) McCoy; and her dog, Bear.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two cute little doggies.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 29, 2015 at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. The family will meet with friends from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m. on Friday at the mortuary.
