Bonnie Guy Huffman

Bonnie Guy Huffman, 84, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, November 5, 2014.

She was born January 2, 1930 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Emery William Guy and Minnie Lena Glorfield.  When she was six months old, the family moved to Weston, Idaho, where Emery ran the Rose Flower Mill.

On November 23, 1948, Bonnie married Arnold J. Naef in Payette, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple.  They had three sons, Larry A. (Lana) Naef, North Fork, ID; Kim A. Naef, Pocatello, ID; and Michael G. Naef, Pocatello, ID. Bonnie and Arnold divorced in 1975.

After her divorce, Bonnie went to stay with her Aunt Lillian Musgrave in Fallon, Nevada. While there she met LeRoy Huffman and they were married May 27, 1979.  Bonnie and LeRoy moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1985 because of her arthritis. Roy passed away in 1986.

Bonnie moved to Ogden, Utah in 1987 and lived with her best friend, her sister, Alice Waddoups, until Alice passed away.

Bonnie is survived by three sons, Larry A. Naef, Kim A. Naef, Steve Waddoups, one daughter, Angie Waddoups,  one daughter-in-law, Lana Naef, four loving grandchildren, that she loved dearly,  they were the light of her life; Stephanie Jo (Matt) Christiansen, Travis L. (Sheraun) Naef, Kimberly M. Holsten, Matthew Brown, and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Don (VaLee) Guy, Layton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Roy, one son, Michael Guy Naef, and two sisters, Alice Waddoups and Dorothy VanLeuvan

A Memorial Gathering will be held Saturday, November 15, 2014 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Ogden, Utah.  A Graveside Service will be held in the spring of 2015 for family and friends in the Dayton, Idaho Cemetery.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Angie and Steve for their compassionate care of Bonnie for many years.
