Bonnie Jarvis

Bonnie Jean Jarvis (Evans), a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2025, in Hooper, Utah surrounded by loved ones. She was 77 years old.

Born on May 2, 1947, in Ogden, Utah, to Loreen Butcher Evans and William Paul Evans, Bonnie lived a vibrant and full life. She was known for her infectious energy, her love of laughter, and her unwavering devotion to her family.

Bonnie was married to William Kenneth Jarvis "Kenny" for 25 years before their divorce. Together, they raised four children whom she is survived by: Cindy, Lisa (Craig), Nichole (Buck - Deceased), and Shane (Coley). Her family was the center of her world, and she cherished every moment spent with her 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Bonnie had a remarkable way with children, young and young at heart, and her playful spirit made her a joy to be around. In her childhood, she shared a special bond with her father, learning to fly his airplanes. In her young adulthood, she and Kenny enjoyed spending time with close friends, playing games, and exploring the mountains of central Utah through hunting and fishing. She often shared stories of her adventurous youth, including her days of street racing and the time she famously “borrowed” Kenny’s 56 Chevy for a race while they were students at Ben Lomond High, even mastering the art of speed shifting.

Bonnie loved to celebrate life's moments, big and small. She was a master of creating magical holiday traditions, from spooky Halloween root beer to her famous Christmas cookie party. She was a gracious host and loved throwing memorable parties.

A woman of style, Bonnie was never without her signature French-tip nails, often adorned with festive charms or pins. She was also a voracious reader, particularly fond of James Patterson novels, and had likely read her way through most of the libraries in Weber County. Her love for her grandchildren was immeasurable, and she was their biggest supporter. No matter the event, whether it was a little league game, a dance recital, or any other activity, Bonnie was always there, cheering them on with unwavering enthusiasm.

Bonnie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her memory will be cherished in the stories she told, the traditions she created, and the love she shared.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd, Ogden Utah.  Friends may visit with family on Thursday, March 13, 2025, from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Friday, March 14, 2025, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment will be in Lindquist's Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd.
