ROY a€" Bonnie Opal Rutherford, 97, died Sunday, July 13, 2008 at Peach Tree Place Assisted Living.

She was born April 14, 1911 in Walker, Missouri, one of 18 children born to Samuel Jay and Martha Lela Mitchell Reedy. She spent her early years on her parent''s farm working side by side with her siblings.

On May 16, 1930, Bonnie married Vernon Marshall Rutherford in Nevada, Missouri. The lived in the Ogden area since 1942 and spent 66 wonderful years together before Vernon''s passing January 8, 1997.

She was a special Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and Great-Great-Grandmother. She always loved a visit from family. She enjoyed special dinners and get- togethers for birthdays, weddings, graduations and church missions.

Bonnie worked for the Weber County School Lunch program for 20 years retiring in 1973. After retiring, she and her husband wintered in Yuma, Arizona for 14 years.

Her hobbies include doing puzzles, reading books and playing card games with grandchildren.

Surviving are her daughter, Betty (Blaine) Weir, Washington Terrace; son, Marshall (Carol) Rutherford, Roy; nine grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 14 great-great-grandchildren, five sisters and one brother.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her sweetheart, parents, 11 brothers and sisters, and one great-great-grandson, Carson Wilde.

The family wishes to express their thanks to Dr. Phillipa Augustin, Pineview Transitional Rehab., Crestwood Care Center, Peach Tree Place Assisted Living and Hospice for Utah, for their tender care.

Graveside services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.

Friends may call at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., on Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
