Bonnie Josephine Stegen

Bonnie J. Stegen, 81, passed away on Monday, June 4, 2018. She was born in Ogden, Utah, on June 14, 1936, to LeRoy C and Josephine Rose McKay. She graduated from Ogden High School and was a lifetime resident of Ogden.

She married Wallace “Wally” Edward Stegen on January 29, 1955 in Ogden. They were blessed with three children. Wally passed away on December 12, 2010.

Bonnie was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She worked as an Administrative Assistant at the Defense Depot of Ogden and after retiring Bonnie enjoyed waitressing at Karen’s Café.

She will be missed. She could work circles around everyone and had a beautiful smile. Family was everything to her. Some people have hobbies, Bonnie had grandchildren.

Bonnie is survived by her children, Wallace Scott (Lisa) Stegen of Ogden and Paul Kenneth “Guss” (Heidi) Stegen of Clearfield; 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; and sister, Norma Jean (John) Hains of El Dorado Hills, CA.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wally; son, Mark Edward Stegen; and sister, Donnett Malan.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 8, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd.
