Bonnie J. Swenson WASHINGTON TERRACE – Bonnie Jean Burnett Swenson, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2010. Bonnie was born August 23, 1928 in Pleasant View, to James Martin and Anna Eliza Burnett. She grew up in Pleasant View and she cherished her childhood memories of family and friends there all her life. She graduated from Weber High School in 1946. She married DuWayne Ramon Swenson on June 23, 1948 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Bonnie was an active and essential partner with DuWayne as he pursued an education and career in dentistry and both she and DuWayne shared a full and committed partnership in a life of service in the United States Air Force. Bonnie was the family’s bedrock as they traveled from base to base around the world. She was the cynosure for her husband and four children, Richard Brent Swenson, Robert Lloyd Swenson, Janice Swenson Lackey and Jeffrey DuWayne Swenson. Bonnie was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and she was proud of her service as a three-time Relief Society President and a worker at the Ogden Temple. Bonnie loved children and animals. In addition to her children, she was a grandmother of 14 and great-grandmother of 14. She is survived and will be missed terribly by her three sons, and two sisters, Delores Bailey and Sylvia Huffaker. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may call at the mortuary on Saturday from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Interment, Aultorest Memorial Park.
